About the Role
We are hiring a Director of Sponsorship Sales to bring in revenue, build partnerships, and create the sales materials that show brands why sportsYou is the next major platform for youth sports audiences. This is a build-from-scratch role for someone who knows how to price offerings, create packages, tell a strong product story, and close deals with national brands. This is a contract role with the potential to become full-time based on performance and revenue impact.
You will own sponsorship sales across the app and the sportsYou Network. You will build decks, develop pricing, drive outreach, pitch, negotiate, and close. You must already have clients or brands ready to work with you and are expected to bring active relationships that can convert into revenue for sportsYou. If you have a book of business and know how to sell digital advertising or brand partnerships, this is the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and develop pricing, packaging, and sponsorship offerings with leadership
- Build professional sales materials and pitch decks that clearly show value
- Own outreach to brand, agency, and partnership contacts
- Present, pitch, and close deals across categories
- Grow and manage a strong pipeline while keeping the team updated on progress
- Translate product and inventory capabilities into sponsorship opportunities brands understand
- Partner with engineering and product to keep current on inventory, placements, and what you can sell
- Collaborate on branded content and integration opportunities for partners
- Support renewals by partnering on performance insights and campaign recaps
- Deliver clear reporting and deal updates to leadership
What You Bring
- Established relationships with national brands or agency decision makers
- Active clients or brand partners who are ready to explore sponsorships with sportsYou
- 4 to 10 years in digital ad sales, brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, or sports marketing
- A real book of business or a proven track record of closing meaningful deals
- Experience selling to agencies or national brands
- Ability to build strong decks and present with confidence
- Understanding of digital ad products, branded content, and custom integrations
- Comfort being the first seller with the initiative to build structure where none exists
- Startup mindset and the drive to open doors and close partnerships
- Bonus. background from sports groups or agencies
Contract to start, with the possibility of converting to full-time.
